WELCOME TO THE GATEWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
 
The Gateway Unified School District proudly serves approximately 3,000 students from preschool through high school in the area from north Redding to the northern shores of beautiful Lake Shasta.  The District consists of one preschool, two K-6 schools, one K-8 school, two K-8 charter schools, one K-2 charter school, one comprehensive high school, and alternative education programs that include a continuation high school and creative options in independent study and home study.

The dedicated staff of the Gateway Unified School District provides a rich curriculum based on the California State Content Standards and a wide array of co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities in safe and secure learning environments.  The District has a sound reputation for excellent programs and boasts several California Distinguished Schools.
 
The Gateway District has almost completed a multi-million dollar modernization of all of its sites, transforming them into state-of-the-art facilities where students and staff can enjoy the latest educational technology in attractive and modern learning environments.  A major feature of this facility upgrade was the construction of a $6.3 million gymnasium at Shasta Lake School.  This beautiful edifice provides the District and the community with a myriad of opportunities with its various amenities, including a full stage.
