Approving YouTube videos (Teachers)

Teachers may now approve YouTube videos. Please follow the instructions below:

  1. Make sure you are logged into your District Google account.
  2. Navigate to the YouTube video(s) that you want to share with students
    Note: Please review/watch all videos before approving
  3. If the video is not already approved, you can click on the Approve button on the blue bar

If you are unable to approve the video(s) or if the YouTube button is not visible, please submit an IT ticket or email at
Note: Websites and other video hosting sites will still need to be approved by IT.

Chromebook Support

  • How to connect the Chromebook to WiFi?
    • Turn on the Chromebook and make sure you are within distance of your WiFi.
    • If the Network not available is displayed, select your network and enter the password.
    • Otherwise, click on the time on the bottom right.
    • Click on Not Connected text and make sure the switch is blue on the right of the WiFi icon.
      • Note: If you see your Wi-Fi network name and a signal strength, your Chromebook is already connected to Wi-Fi.
    • Turn on Wi-Fi.
      • Your Chromebook will automatically look for available networks and show them to you in a list.
  • How do I log into the Chromebook?
    •  Verify that you have connected the Chromebook to the Wireless
    • If your student was provided with a QR code, click NEXT after booting up the Chromebook and follow the instruction on the screen.
    • If your student was instructed to type in their email/password, click Sign in with a different account and enter the student's email and password. You can find the student email and password in your Aeries Parent portal.
      • Note: The student's password is their permanent ID number (their lunch number)

  • People can't see or hear me in Google Meet
    • Make sure you have allowed the microphone and camera.

Soft-phone for Staff

If this is the first time using the app, you will need to register your account. Please use your district email address.

After downloading the GoToConnect app below, launch the app and on the Sign In screen, press the Don't have an account? Register below the Sign In button and enter your information.


  • My Chromebook say connecting to my home network is disabled
    • Make sure that you are within close distance if your WiFi.
    • Reboot the Chromebook by holding down the power button until it shuts down and press the power button to power it back on.
    • After rebooting, while on the login screen, attempt to connect to your home network again.

  • Who do I contact if I need help?
    • As we begin to transition to distance learning I wanted to let you know the technology department will continue to be here to support you. A few items to note:
      • Teachers will be the primary point of contact with students and families.
      • Teachers, if you are unable to resolve an issue with the student, please submit a work request by emailing (please include as much detail about the issue as possible).
      • We will have an IT person staffing the main phone number 245-7950 Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm.
